As an organization, Georgia Nut does not compromise quality and food safety and risk the health of any of our consumers. With the assurance to adhere to GFSI guidelines through SQF Certification, this dedicated team drives focus on continuous improvement and leading a culture of quality and food safety.
Some of the important and critical quality programs the QA team has implemented at Georgia Nut are:
FSMA Pre-requisite Programs: Good manufacturing Practices, Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures, Employee Training on safe food handling, FSMA which includes Food Safety Plans and Preventive controls ,Intentional Adulteration, and Supply Chain Control Program.
FSMA Food Safety Plan: Allergen Control, Metal Detection, Packaging film verification, 5-log reduction Peanut/Almond Oil Roasting, and 2-log reduction Tree nut Oil Roasting.
Traceability and Recall Program: Documented procedures that require annual testing. Annually challenged in SQF and customer audits throughout the year.
Consumer Feedback Program: Process for consumer complains (consumer to manufacturer).
Regulatory Processes: Georgia Nut is categorized: Food, Confectionary, FDA, and Countries where products are sold; Monitor FDA,CFIA, COFERPRIS, EFSA regulatory for new requirements; and GFSI certification of all key suppliers & annual Q&FS questionnaire/audit certifications to ensure inbound ingredients are compliant with federal regulations.
Audit Ready: Regulatory audits, GFSI – SQF Level II /Food Safety Audits, Certification GFCO, RSPO, Non-GMO Project Verified, Organic, Kosher Audits, Customer Requirement Audits, and GNC Monthly Q&FS Internal Audits.
